Atrial Signals 2024
An interdisciplinary meeting about the upper two heart chambers
The conference:
In recent years, we have again witnessed very significant advances in technological methodology, pathophysiological understanding and clinical research in the field of atrial tachyarrhythmias. New ablation methodologies have been introduced, wearables offer exciting opportunities for rhythm monitoring, new anticoagulant compounds are intensively investigated, artificial intelligence improves diagnostic capabilities and computer models start to enter the clinical arena. Using and combining these new opportunities to improve health care in patients with atrial tachyarrhythmias still poses a major challenge to the research community.
A joint collaboration of all experts - clinicians and engineers - offers the best prospects to address these challenges. In 2024 the 5th edition of Atrial Signals will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Distinguished experts such as cardiologists, engineers, electro-physiologists and basic scientists are invited to participate as speakers and as panelists. They will share the newest insights in pathophysiology of atrial tachyarrhythmias and new technology for AF/AT characterization.
I attended the Atrial Signals meeting 2024 in Maastricht from June 6-8, a great interdisciplinary meeting where scientists from al over the world were present. I had a poster to present, and after two days of fruitful discussions and interesting sessions, it was announced that I won the poster award. I'm honored to have received this recognition for my scientific work.
