Supervisor

Christiana Kosta (Bachelor student)

Christiana studies Medicine after having obtained a strong background in the hard sciences during her high school years. For the next year(s) she will be working on a hybrid project involving computational modeling and optogenetic applications.

Alumni

Co-promotor

Alexander Teplenin (PhD student)

Alexander (Sasha) Teplenin obtained his MSc degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in Russia. He has specialized in cardiac tissue engineering and studying excitation waves in artificial cardiac constructs. During his PhD training he will utilize various optogenetic tools for investigating new strategies to study and treat cardiac arrhythmias.
