For my sisters' wedding, I painted a gift.

I had a vision to create a piece that consisted of 3 (+1) canvases displaying the steps she and her-now-husband went through in their journey as a couple. I named each of the canvases accordingly: verliefd (in love), verhuisd (moved in), verloofd (engaged).

Each of these steps took place in a different location in the world. These are

Indonesia (left), a group travel journey wherre they got to know each other
Mechelen, Belgium (middle), the city they moved to in an apartment at first, and a house later on
Salar de Uyuda, Bolivia (right), the place where she was asked to marry

Every painting is on a 80 x 30 cm panel, painted with acryl, and took approximately 16 hours per panel.
