The grant:

The objective of Postdoctoral Fellowships (PFs) is to support researchers’ careers and foster excellence in research. The Postdoctoral Fellowships action targets researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. PFs help researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors.

This year I submitted a grant proposal to the European Commission for a Marie Curie grant. A prestigious grant to relocate and learn to know a different lab and culture while trying to develop your own research line. I got the news that my proposal did not win. However, I was recognized to have written a proposal of excellent quality (a score >85%). Therefore, despite the fact I didn't win, it is still an accomplishment to be proud of. The feedback they provided me resulted in an insightful experience and an excellent learning opportunity.
